A week ago Hidden Agenda organized the Typhoon Haiyan Benefit Concert, a show to benefit the victims of typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in the Philippines. The Hong Kong Hardcore and Metal community got together to to donate for a good cause. Shephards The Weak were selling Tshirt and CD’s and all the money from the sales went directly to the Philippine Red Cross. There was also a charity box for people to put in a dollar or two. Fretsmith Guitar Lab donated 2 handmade guitars for the show! They are made from pallet wood which was picked from Tai Yip Street, donate $1500up and you could go home with one. I have to say, the guitars looked absolutely amazing! Hidden Agenda was also given 200 Tshirts to be sold no the concert, hand printed by some of the Hidden Agenda staff!
So many people turned up! It was a brilliant night with some awesome music, great bands and super crowd. It was so nice to see so many people turning up and helping out to donate for a good cause. With everyone’s generous donations, HK$25,000 (USD$3230) was raised and donated to Philippine Red Cross! Fantastic! A big thank you to everyone that showed up and to the bands that were performing that night: Shephards The Weak, Death Reject, Weeper, King Ly Chee and Black Night Red Sky.
